Keira Knightley Chooses Chanel Couture To Receive Her OBE At The Palace

eira Knightley today received an OBE, for her services to drama and charity, wearing a Chanel Couture lemon tweed two-piece from the spring 2017 collection. The actress arrived at Buckingham Palace in the suit, cinched with a pink belt and complete with a blouse with black ribbon detailing and a matching boater hat, before being appointed with the honour by the Prince of Wales.

As a long-standing ambassador, it is unsurprising that Knightley opted for the fashion house for the all-important occasion. It isn't the first time that the brand has dressed her for a key moment in her life - she married husband James Wrighton, who accompanied her to this morning's ceremony, in a tulle Chanel Couture dress and tweed jacket in 2015. Not to mention the many publicity tours and awards ceremonies that she has attended wearing its designs.

Also joining the actress, who was catapulted into the spotlight after her seminal role in 2002's Bend It Like Beckham and was named as a recipient in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours list, were Knightley's parents, Sharman Macdonald and Will Knightley.
